Back from New York (and Green Lake, and Milwaukee, and…)

The holiday season has come and gone, and so have we.

I am going to try something new and describe each day of the past two weeks in 10 15 20 words. Here goes nothing:

Wednesday, Dec 21: Jen and her friend Kellie arrived in Chicago; we had dinner and went to bed early.

Thursday, Dec 22: Jen and Kellie went shopping all day. After work, we had Homemade Pizza for dinner and watched The Graduate.

Friday, Dec 23: Left work at noon, then headed downtown with Jen. Michelle left work at 7, and we drove to Green Lake.

Saturday, Dec 24: Couldn’t believe the date! Wrapped and delivered presents, then got dressed for church and three family celebrations.

Sunday, Dec 25: Got up early to see what Santa brought. Michelle drove up from Milwaukee and a bunch of family came over.

Monday, Dec 26: Had lunch with Michelle, Dad and Aug. Installed auxiliary input in my CR-V. Saw The Chronic(les) of Narnia in Ripon.

Tuesday, Dec 27: Had breakfast with Michelle and Mom. Drove to Milwaukee to see Michelle’s family. Ate too much. Drove back to Green Lake. doh!

Wednesday, Dec 28: Packed up, then returned to Milwaukee. Had dinner at Conejito’s Place and played Boggle with Michelle’s brother Nehemiah.

Thursday, Dec 29: Drove to our apartment in Chicago, furiously re-packed, then took the Blue Line to O’Hare. Arrived in NYC at 8 p.m.

Friday, Dec 30: Went to MoMA with Emily and Michelle. Browsed illicit handbags in Chinatown. Wandered into a great restaurant for dinner.

Saturday, Dec 31: Woke up very late and meandered to SoHo shopping. Prepped for The Big Night, then found Spotted Pig for dinner and drinks.

Sunday, Jan 1! Saw Match Point at 68th and Broadway (“Step on it, sucka!”). Met Yana, Idowu, and Matt for dinner at Supper.

Monday, Jan 2: Took a cab to La Guardia. Boarded on time(!), then sat on the runway for 4 hours.

Tuesday, Jan 3: Had a hard time waking up and readjusting to “normal” life. Bought groceries and made dinner. Ahh…
